Sydney's pathetic salaries !






ARE THEY BEEN PAID ENOUGH ??!!!


Lots of Sydney workers are unhappy with their wages, with many threatening strike action in order to get their salary needs met.
Baggage handlers and teachers have initiated strikes for better pay deals, with a full day strike planned for teachers on November 29 unless the NSW government provide ‘‘fair and reasonable salaries."
Police, fire fighters and stevedores have also been taking action against their pay rates.
Industrial action is being initiated in the following industries:
Qantas Pilots 
DEMAND: Qantas pilots want to keep their jobs on-shore
WAGE: $300,000 plus benefits means they could earn $500,000

Licensed Aircraft Engineers
 DEMAND: 15% payrise
WAGE: Approx $80,000 (Qantas)
WAGE: Approx $95,000 (Jetstar)
WAGE: Approx $130,000 (Virgin Blue)

Baggage Handlers
 DEMAND: 15% payrise over three years
WAGE: Approx $85,000 - $90,000

NSW Fire Fighter
DEMAND: That a list of agreed management demands be implemented immediately
WAGE: $76,000 – senior fire fighter

Head Teacher

DEMAND:
 More than the 2.5% payrise they have been offered (because inflation is higher than 3%)
WAGE: $81,000
Bus Driver
DEMAND: 3.5% payrise
WAGE: $80,000

Police Officer
DEMAND: 5% payrise (they were given a 2.5% increase in July)
WAGE: $85,000

OTHER WAGES:
Mobile Mechanic 
WAGE: $72,000

Retail Worker
WAGE: $45,000

Corner Shop Owner
WAGE: $34,000
Pokies Room Manager
WAGE: Approx $90,000

Butcher
WAGE: $50,000

Electrician - Mining Company
WAGE: $130,000

Aged Carer
WAGE: $41,600

Cityrail Train Guard
WAGE: $56,000

Gardener
WAGE: $25,000

Child Care Worker
WAGE: $35,000

Removalist
WAGE: $31,000

Intellectual Disabilities Worker
WAGE: $ 41,600

Courier Driver
WAGE: $40,600
